Lotte rookie Takashi Kita drove home the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Lotte Marines over the Seibu Lions 4-3 at Chiba Marine Stadium on Friday.
Kita, who smacked his first career hit to bring home the "sayonara" game-ending run in the bottom of the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against Daiei, ripped a hit off Seibu closer Shinji Mori (0-2) deep into left field with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th to end the game.
Ken Suzuki's two-run homer into the center-field bleachers gave the Lions a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning, but Lotte went ahead in the fifth with Masato Watanabe's three-run home run -- a career first home run for the five-year pro.
