Chunichi hurler Makoto Kito combined with four relievers on an eight-hit shutout as the Dragons silenced the Central League-leading Hanshin Tigers 5-0 at Koshien Stadium on Wednesday.
Kito, making his first start in two years, struck out seven and allowed seven hits. He walked none to pick up his first win in eight appearances this year as Chunichi snapped its losing skid at five.
Hirokazu Ibata went 3-for-4 and Kazuyoshi Tatsunami had three hits and three RBIs for the Dragons.
