Third-round leader Dean Wilson held off a late charge by Toru Taniguchi and hung on to win the Tsuruya Open by two strokes for his fifth career victory on the Japanese Tour.

Wilson, winner of last year's Japan PGA Championship, had six birdies and three bogeys in a round of 3-under-par 68 on his way to an 11-under 273 total at the par-71 Sports Shinko Country Club.

Wilson atoned for some errant drives with superb iron play and putting, making a decisive birdie on the 190-yard 16th that gave him a two-shot advantage over Taniguchi, who had reached the clubhouse at 9-under 275 after a final-round 67.
