KASHIMA, Ibaraki Pref. -- Division One newcomer Vegalta Sendai stunned J. League champion Kashima Antlers 2-0 at Kashima Stadium on Saturday thanks to two second-half goals from Brazilian striker Marcos.
Sendai forward Marcos (right) beats out Kashima Antlers' Koji Nakata.With the win, Vegalta extended its winning streak to five games and is tied on points with division leader Jubilo Iwata, trailing only on goal difference.
