Uruguay will play a warmup match for the World Cup against Nabisco Cup winner Yokohama F. Marinos in Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture, on May 25, the J. League first division club said Friday.
Two-time World Cup winner Uruguay will be based at the foot of Mt. Fuji prior to the May 31-June 30 tournament and will face Yokohama, currently managed by Brazil's 1990 World Cup boss Sebastiao Lazaroni, at Susono Athletics Stadium.
Earlier Mexico announced that it would play Tokyo Verdy on May 26 at Fukui Technoport with the kick-off planned for 3 p.m.
