Alex Cabrera blasted three homers for six runs as the Seibu Lions defeated the Kintetsu Buffaloes 10-1 Monday at the Osaka Dome.

Cabrera smacked a three-run shot in the first inning and a solo clout in the second. In the seventh, the 30-year-old Venezuelan native belted a two-run homer.

Seibu starter Fumiya Nishiguchi gave up six hits and struck out eight over six innings to extend his winning streak at the Osaka Dome to 12. The win gives the Lions got a 3-0 record, their best start in 11 years.

Hawks 6, Marines 2

Daiei's rookie southpaw Toshiya Sugiuchi scattered four hits and fanned eight over seven-plus innings to pick up his first career victory in his debut, leading the Hawks over Lotte at the Fukuoka Dome.

Daiei slugger Hiroki Kokubo belted a solo homer off Shunsuke Watanabe in the fourth inning.

The Hawks won their third consecutive game while the Marines lost their third straight.

Oshima suspended

Nippon Ham Fighters manager Yasunori Oshima, who was ejected from a game Sunday for assaulting an umpire, has been handed a two-game suspension, Pacific League president Tadao Koike said Monday.

Oshima was ejected in the first inning of the Fighters' 7-3 loss to the Daiei Hawks at Fukuoka Dome after shoving first base umpire Masami Yoshikawa in the chest. He will be suspended from games Wednesday and Thursday against the Orix BlueWave.
