Last year's top money winner Toshimitsu Izawa kept himself in contention in the 100 million yen season-opener as he fired a 2-under 70 for a share of second place on 137 along with Taiwan's Chen Tze-chung and Kiyoshi Murota at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
