Finland's Mikko Ronkainen won his fourth World Cup moguls event and Jennifer Heil of Canada won the first of her career Sunday at the freestyle skiing World Cup meet in Inawashiro, Fukushima Prefecture.

Yugo Tsukita and Aiko Uemura, meanwhile, earned third-place finishes for the host nation with convincing runs down the 213-meter moguls course at Listel Ski Fantasia.

Ronkainen, who was second in Saturday's qualifying runs, overtook American Jeremy Bloom with 14.4 points for turns and 6.81 for air as he turned in a championship run of 27.19 points for his fourth career World Cup win. In the women's event, Heil, who just missed the podium in Salt Lake City, scored 14.1 for turns and 6.44 for air to defeat Olympic gold medalist Kari Traa with 26.97 points.
