J. League first division side Gamba Osaka has signed midfielder Fabinho from Brazilian club Ponte Preta on a 10-month contract through Jan. 1 next year, Gamba officials said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Fabinho is expected to take over the role of defensive midfielder from fellow Brazilian Vital, who was released Monday while nursing a broken knee sustained late last season.
