Yokohama F. Marinos said Saturday that the J. League First Division side and Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid have reached a basic accord on a full transfer of Japan international Shunsuke Nakamura.
The agreement would move the 23-year-old midfielder to Real Madrid after this summer's World Cup finals, cohosted by Japan and South Korea, on an estimated $3 million transfer fee.
Earlier Saturday, Nakamura signed a new one-year contract with Yokohama with a clause allowing him a midseason departure.
