Tatsuhiko Muramoto edged Yasuyuki Muneta on a split decision to claim the over 100-kg title Sunday as Japanese judoka outclassed the field at the Japan international judo tournament.
Muramoto won the decision after both judoka received a series of warnings for passivity, while victories by Masahiro Takamatsu at 73 kg and Yuta Yazaki at 90 kg completed a Japanese sweep of all seven classes at the inaugural men's competition at Nippon Budokan.
