Waseda University advanced to the final of the National College Rugby Union Championship for the first time since 1997 after beating Keio University 36-7 at Tokyo's National Stadium on Wednesday.
Waseda, the Kanto Collegiate League Taiko-sen Group champion, will meet defending champion and Kanto Collegiate League League-sen Group winner Kanto Gakuin University in the finale on Jan. 12 at the same venue.
Kanto Gakuin downed Hosei University 38-23 to make the final for the fifth consecutive year.
