Chunichi Dragons catcher Takeshi Nakamura on Friday agreed to a money trade to the Yokohama BayStars after deciding that two veteran catchers on a team was just too many.

Nakamura, who has spent 17 seasons with the Dragons, had bickered over stalled negotiations on a new contract but later decided to make the move after Chunichi's acquisition of free agent catcher Motonobu Tanishige left him feeling somewhat "uncomfortable."

"It would be difficult for Mr. Tanishige if I stay, and my teammates might feel uncomfortable watching me sit on the bench all the time," Nakamura had said earlier.
