J. League champion Kashima Antlers will keep manager Toninho Cerezo for next season after the Brazilian steered the club to the league title for the second straight year, Kashima officials said Wednesday.

In his two years with Kashima, Cerezo has led the side to a domestic treble in 2000 and the league title this season with a win over Jubilo Iwata in the two-leg J. League championship earlier this month.

The Antlers were knocked out of the Emperor's Cup in Monday's 4-2 quarterfinal defeat to Cerezo Osaka.
