Sydney Olympic gold-medalist Kosei Inoue has been forced to pull out of next month's Japan international judo tournament due to a broken right hand, the All Japan Judo Federation said Thursday.
Inoue will miss the two-day international meet starting Jan. 12 at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo and, according to Japanese team doctor Seiji Miyazaki, needs around four weeks to recover from the injury. Inoue is the world and Olympic men's 100-kg champion.
