The Nippon Ham Fighters have signed right-hander Pat Flury of the New York Yankees' Triple-A Columbus, officials of the Pacific League club said Tuesday.
Nippon Ham is expected to assign the closer role to the 28-year-old Flury, who went 3-3 with three saves while posting a 2.90 ERA in 44 Triple-A games in 2001.
