The Hiroshima Carp on Monday acquired foreign pitchers Rigo Beltran and Rob Stanifer from major league farm teams, officials from the Central League team said.
Beltran, a southpaw from the Philadelphia Phillies' triple-A affiliate Scranton, posted a 2-5 record with two saves in 37 mound appearances this season. Right-hander Stanifer went 7-8 with six saves in 54 games with the Chicago Cubs' triple-A team Iowa.
