Former Chunichi Dragons manager Senichi Hoshino said Saturday he is poised to take on the tough task of reviving the Hanshin Tigers after his second round of talks with the Central League club.

"We've basically reached a conclusion. Today, we talked about details including plans to reinforce the team ahead of the new season," Hoshino said after meeting with president Katsuyoshi Nozaki and other Hanshin executives in Nagoya.

"It's all decided in my heart, but there still are some things that I have to take care of before making a formal announcement. I hope that is understood," he added.

After their first round of meetings held on Wednesday, Hoshino said he had come to terms with the Osaka club but needed time for further discussion.
