Japan midfielder Shinji Ono scored a second-half goal to help Feyenoord cruise to a 2-0 home win over Den Bosch in the fourth round of the Dutch Cup on Wednesday.

After a lackluster first half, Ebi Smolarek opened the scoring for the league leader in the 54th minute and 10 minutes later Ono wrapped up the game with his third goal for Feyenoord since his summer move from Urawa Reds.

"It was a lucky goal because the shot got a deflection on the way in," Ono said.

Ono was taken off in the 69th minute after receiving a knock on his ankle, but the 22-year-old brushed off any injury worries.

"The ankle is fine, I'll be okay for the next game," he said.
