Yomiuri Giants infielder Daisuke Motoki agreed to a four-year deal carrying an annual salary of 120 million yen, a 32 million yen increase from this year.

Motoki, who became a free agent after the 2001 season, opted to stay on with the Central League club after reaching an agreement on a multiyear contract Oct. 27. The 29-year-old Osaka native hit .292 with nine home runs and 39 RBIs in his 11th season with the Giants.

Meanwhile, Lotte Marines infielder Makoto Kosaka agreed to an estimated annual salary of 100 million yen, a 15 million yen pay raise, after his third straight year as a Golden Glove winner for the Pacific League club.

Lotte right-hander Tomohiro Kuroki, who went 11-4 with a 3.02 ERA, turned down a 10 million yen raise and a 172 million yen salary.
