PUSAN, South Korea -- Legendary Brazilian player Pele is optimistic about Brazil's performance in the World Cup in six months time despite the South American powerhouse's recent struggle in the qualifiers.
"I trust Brazil to be one of the strongest teams in this World Cup," Pele, a spokesman for World Cup sponsor MasterCard International, said at the BEXCO Convention Center in Pusan, just before the World Cup Final Draw on Saturday.
Brazil barely qualified for next year's quadrennial tournament, finishing third in the South American zone and Pele pointed out a number of reasons why Brazil struggled.
