European Champions League winner Bayern Munich will meet Libertadores Cup winner Boca Juniors of Argentina on Tuesday night in the Toyota Cup at Tokyo's National Stadium. At stake is the right to be called the world's No. 1 club.
Bayern Munich arrived in Tokyo on Monday morning after Saturday's German League match against Nuremberg, a 1-1 draw. The German powerhouse has brought 14 field players and three goalkeepers, leaving Stefan Effenberg and Michael Tarnat (leg injuries), and Alexander Zickler (flu) home.
But Bayern still has many of its international star players, such as German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, France left-back Bixente Lizarazu and Brazil striker Giovane Elber.
