Leonel Marshall hammered home 18 points and Angel Dennis scored 16 Sunday as Cuba closed out its championship campaign in the men's World Grand Champions Cup volleyball competition with a straight-sets win over Argentina.
Marshall and Dennis led Cuba 25-18, 25-17, 26-24 over the winless wild-card entry from South America at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium for a fifth-straight win to claim its first major international title since taking the World Cup crown in 1989.
In the day's second match, Sydney Olympic champion Yugoslavia rolled over South Korea in straight sets 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 behind 15 points from Ivan Miljkovic and 12 more from Goran Vujevic.
After losing to Brazil the night before, Yugoslavia rebounded on the final day of the tourney to ensure the European champion third place.
In the final match of the day, defending champion Brazil conquered Japan before 10,100 fans by overpowering the host 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.
