Yokohama goalkeeper Tatsuya Enomoto made three saves in a penalty shootout, helping the F. Marinos clinch the J. League Nabisco Cup after beating Jubilo Iwata 3-1 on penalties on Saturday at Tokyo's National Stadium. The game had ended 0-0 after extra time.
Man-of-the-match Enomoto, who took over the goalkeeping duties from the recently departed Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi, kept a clean sheet over the 120 minutes against the league's powerhouse Iwata.
In the penalty shootout, Enomoto blocked a shot from Toshiya Fujita, with his left foot, and punched out shots from Yugoslav international Aleksandar Zivkovic and Ryoichi Maeda. Jubilo 'keeper Tomoaki Ogami, meanwhile, saved one shot, from Yasuhiro Hato, before Dutra hit the post.
