Swedish star Annika Sorenstam and South Korea's Pak Se Ri remained on track for a showdown in the final after comfortable wins in the quarterfinals of the Cisco World Ladies Match Play championship on Saturday.

Taiwan's Huang Yu-chen, meanwhile, won the first two holes of her quarterfinal match with Aki Takamura and held on for a 1-up victory to eliminate the last of the host country's entries from the $960,000 competition at Sosei Country Club in Chiba Prefecture

Sorenstam, the leading money winner on the U.S. LPGA Tour this year, defeated Scotland's Mhairi McKay 3 and 1 after coming back from an early deficit to go 1-up at the turn and then claiming No. 15 and No. 17 to secure the win.

"We both played well today. It was an exciting match since we were both up and down," said Sorenstam, who went 1-down after the second hole.
