The Yakult Swallows flew off with their fifth championship on Thursday.
Atsunori Inaba and Akinori Iwamura each had a pair of RBIs as the Swallows beat the Kintetsu Buffaloes 4-2 in Game 5 of the Japan Series at Tokyo's Jingu Stadium.
The Swallows, who won their first title in 1978, have now earned the right to be called a dynasty. This is their fourth crown in nine years. They also won the fall classic in 1993, '95 and '97. Their only postseason series loss came in 1992, when they were beaten by the Seibu Lions.
