Toshimitsu Izawa made up for some erratic shots with his deft touch on the greens Sunday, shooting a final-round 69 to win the Georgia Tokai Classic tournament by two strokes.

Izawa, who began the day with a one-shot lead, carded four birdies and a bogey and capped his 10th career victory with one-putt par saves on the final three holes as he finished the week at a 16-under 272 total at the Miyoshi Country Club's West Course.

Izawa appeared to seal the win with his fourth birdie at the par-5 15th before his irons became erratic down the stretch, leaving him with a series of delicate up-and-downs and par-saving putts.

The 24 million yen winner's check moved him into first place in this year's money list for earnings from domestic tour events.
