Daiei snapped its losing streak at four games and stayed in the pennant race, cutting Seibu's lead to 2 games. Seibu's winning streak ended at five games.
Leading 3-1, Omichi nailed a two-run homer off Seibu lefty reliever Yoshitaka Mizuo in the eighth for Daiei.
