Japan will play friendlies against Senegal on Oct. 4 in Lens, France, and Nigeria on Oct. 7 in Southampton, England, in preparation for next year's World Cup, the Japan Football Association announced Thursday.
Troussier plans to call up a provisional squad of 22-25 men for a two-day training camp from Sept. 24 and will seek permission to secure the services of Japan's European-based stars, including Parma's Hidetoshi Nakata and Junichi Inamoto of Arsenal.
