Japan defender Koji Nakata scored twice to lead Kashima Antlers to a 3-1 victory over Gamba Osaka on Saturday and move last year's treble winner clear at the top of the J. League first-division second-stage table.

Yokohama F Marinos moved into second after beating Consadole Sapporo 3-2 at home, defender Naza breaking the deadlock three minutes into the second period of extra time to record a third straight win for new Brazilian manager Lazaroni.

Nakata, who plays in the midfield for the Antlers, scored a minute before the break to bring the sides level at halftime after Nino Bule had opened the scoring for Gamba in the 31st minute.
