Nobuhiko Matsunaka slammed a "sayonara" two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning and lifted the Daiei Hawks over the Seibu Lions 3-2 at the Fukuoka Dome on Saturday.
With Daiei up 1-0 in the top of the ninth, Seibu slugger Alex Cabrera slammed his Pacific League-leading 44th homer for two runs to put the Lions ahead.
In the bottom of the frame, however, Hiroki Kokubo drew a walk with one out. Matsunaka then smacked a come-from-behind two-run homer off Lions closer Kiyoshi Toyoda (5-2) to snap the Hawks' three-game losing skid.
