The Yomiuri Giants extended their winning streak to six games for the first time this season with an 8-4 victory over the Chunichi Dragons at the Tokyo Dome on Friday.
Kazuhiro Kiyohara doubled home the opening run with runners on first and second and one out in the third inning. Daisuke Motoki and Shinnosuke Abe then hit RBI singles with two outs.
Leo Gomez hammered a two-run homer off Yomiuri starter Koji Uehara in the top of the fourth to cut the Giants' lead to 3-2. But Kiyohara doubled again for two runs in the bottom of the frame to widen the lead to 5-3.
