Kazuhisa Ishii scattered three hits over eight innings and won his 10th decision as the Yakult Swallows snapped their losing skid at three by beating the Hanshin Tigers 3-1 at Jingu Stadium.
Ishii struck out eight batters and gave up one run on a leadoff solo homer to Hanshin left fielder Taichiro Kamisaka.
Closer Shingo Takatsu pitched the final inning, giving up two hits but held the Tigers scoreless to notch his 26th save.
