Typhoon Pabuk, a powerful storm system moving along Japan's Pacific Ocean coastline, forced the postponement of the high school baseball national championship final scheduled for Tuesday.
The game between Tokyo's Nichidai Daisan and Omi of Shiga Prefecture was re-scheduled for Wednesday at Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture.
It was the first time since 1975 that the championship game had to be postponed because of rain and the fifth time overall.
