Tokyo's Nichidai Daisan denied Yokohama a dramatic come-from-behind win in the high school baseball national semifinals Monday and grabbed a 7-6 "sayonara" win of its own.

After squandering a five-run lead, Nichidai Daisan struck back with a double from Toru Kikumura and a single by Yodai Morozumi in the bottom of the ninth for the walk-off victory at Koshien Stadium.

The Tokyo school will face Omi of Shiga Prefecture in the championship final -- weather permitting.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Typhoon Pabuk, a powerful storm system, may hit western Japan late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Both schools will be making their first appearance in the final of the summer classic although Nichidai Daisan won the 1971 spring invitational crown.

In Monday's first semifinal, a double by Yoshimasa Oka highlighted a three-run eighth inning and Omi became the first school from Shiga Prefecture to advance to the final with a 5-4 win over Matsuyama Shogyo of Ehime Prefecture.

Oka doubled home Akihiro Sasajima, who had singled aboard, to tie the game and then came around to score himself on a single by Yoichi Hashimoto. Omi also got another run on a passed ball.
