Yuji Yoshioka hit a solo homer in the sixth inning Sunday and the Kintetsu Buffaloes ended their five-game losing skid with a 2-1 victory over the Daiei Hawks at Fukuoka Dome.
With the win, the second-placed Buffaloes narrowed Daiei's lead in the Pacific League standings to two games.
Second-year starter Hisashi Iwakuma (2-1) held the Pacific League-leading Hawks to one run on two hits over six innings at Fukuoka Dome for the win.
