Masamitsu Harashima homered for a third straight game Saturday and Kazuki Kondo struck out 11 as Tokyo's Nichidai Daisan rolled over Japan Aviation of Yamanashi Prefecture 7-1 in the high school baseball national championship.

Katsuyuki Tsuzuki and Kazuya Uchida also belted two-run homers at Koshien Stadium for the Nihon University affiliate school which advances to the quarterfinals of the tourney for the first time in 39 years.

In the day's second match-up, Akihiro Ito sparked a three-run rally in the fifth, scoring on a double and an error, and Matsuyama Shogyo of Ehime Prefecture held on for a 4-3 win over Nara's Chiben Gakuen.

Tournament newcomer Meiho of Oita Prefecture broke a 4-4 tie in the fifth inning with two runs on an error and singles from Ryohei Komatsu and Masanori Miyamoto to snare a 6-5 win over Chiba's Narashino.

In the day's final game, Nichinan Gakuen ace Hayato Terahara got the day off as Kohei Katada and Mitsuki Katayama combined for a four-hitter while the Miyazaki school pounded out 20 hits in a 15-0 drubbing of Hyogo's Toyodai Himeji.
