Lefty ace Kazuhisa Ishii combined with Tomokazu Teramura on a two-hitter as the Central League-leading Yakult Swallows blanked the Yokohama BayStars 7-0 at Jingu Stadium on Wednesday.
Ishii gave up two hits and walked three. He struck out nine batters en route to his ninth win.
Yakult took the lead in the first inning on Atsunori Inaba's two-run clout off BayStars starter Shane Bowers (3-9). Up 5-0 in the eighth, Hajime Miki hit his first-career homer for two runs to secure the lead.
