Yaseen Musa netted 20 points and Hashim Basher added 18 of his own along with 14 rebounds Friday as Qatar sank host Japan 96-80 in the under-21 men's basketball World Championship tournament.
Qatar raced out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter behind Musa and Basher at Saitama Super Arena and never looked back to book a meeting Saturday with Egypt in the consolation final for ninth-10th place.
Japan, which got 16 points each from Kensuke Sato and Jun Uzawa, squares off with South Korea in the final for 11th-12th place.
Japan's only win in the tourney was a 111-108 triumph over South Korea in double overtime in the preliminaries.
