Jubilo Iwata manager Masakazu Suzuki has won the Asian Coach of the Month award for his success in leading his side to the J. League first-division first-stage title, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced Friday.
Suzuki, who took over following the sacking of Macedonian Gjokica Hadzievski midway through last season's second-stage, guided Jubilo to a nine-point victory in the first half of the 2001 campaign in Japan.
