Japan's Rugby squad to play President XV

Japan will play against a President XV on Sept. 7 (kickoff at 7 p.m.) at Tokyo's National Stadium, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced recently.

The President XV will be captained by former Japan international Yoshihito Yoshida, who plays for French club Coromier. Teams will be announced at a later date.

Tickets will go on sale on Aug. 11 at major ticket outlets. For information, call the JRFU at (03) 3401-3290.

Cambridge to visit for tourney

The Cambridge University rugby union team will visit Japan to play three games against Japanese collegiate sides in the Japan-Britain collegiate friendly series, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced Monday.

Cambridge will play Keio University on Sept. 16 (5 p.m. kickoff) at Tokyo Stadium and Hosei University on Sept. 19 (7 p.m. kickoff) at National Stadium in Tokyo before meeting Kanto Gakuin University on Sept. 23 (3:30 p.m. kickoff) at Chichibunomiya Stadium. Tickets will go on sale from Aug. 18 at major ticket outlets.
