India's Jeev Milkha Singh fashioned a 4-under-par 68 on Saturday to join Katsumasa Miyamoto at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round of the 120 million yen Japan Golf Tour Championship Iiyama Cup golf tournament.

Singh, seeking his first win in his fourth year of play in Japan, carded four birdies in a bogey-free round at the rain-soaked Horai Country Club in Tochigi Prefecture to come from four strokes back for a two-shot lead with a 12-under 204.

Miyamoto, who also teed off four strokes back, answered a bogey on the fourth hole with four straight birdies from No. 6, capping his tour of the 7,090-yard, par-72 course with a fifth birdie to pull even with Singh.

Two strokes off the pace was Kazuhiko Hosokawa.
