Tuffy Rhodes hit a pair of two-run homers to highlight Kintetsu's 13-hit attack and Hiroki Yamamura picked up his first complete-game win as the Pacific League's front-running Buffaloes beat the Orix BlueWave 8-1 Saturday at Hakodate Stadium.
Yamamura (5-3) yielded five hits and struck out two over the distance. He held the BlueWave to one hit after the fifth inning.
Rhodes drilled a two-run homer off Orix starter Nobuyuki Ebisu (3-6) in the fifth inning and ripped his league-leading 32nd roundtripper in a three-run sixth inning to cap his five-RBI game.
