Akinori Iwamura slammed a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh and southpaw Shugo Fujii allowed only six hits while striking out five Sunday as the Yakult Swallows triumphed 3-0 over the Hiroshima Carp at Fukuoka Dome.
Second-year southpaw Fujii (7-2) pitched the first complete game of his pro career and recorded his seventh win of the season, while not allowing a Hiroshima base-runner to reach third base.
The victory gave Yakult a sweep of the three-game series with Hiroshima and kept the Swallows on top of the Central League standings.
