Alex Cabrera slammed a pair of homers and drove in five runs to power the Seibu Lions to a 6-3 victory over the Daiei Hawks at the Seibu Dome on Sunday.
The Venezuelan slugger hit a two-run shot with two out in the third inning to open the scoring in the key Pacific League tilt and followed with a three-run clout in the seventh -- bringing his league-leading home run total to 27.
Daiei rallied to tie the score 3-3 in the top of the seventh, but Cabrera answered with his second blast of the day in bottom of the frame to take the rubber game of the three-game series with the defending PL champions.
