Roberto Petagine hit a two-run double and ninth-year pitcher Shinji Matsuda picked up his first win since 1995 as the Yakult Swallows won a season-high fifth straight game by defeating the Yokohama BayStars 5-3 Saturday at Yokohama Stadium.
Atsuya Furuta drew a bases-loaded walk in the first inning and Alex Ramirez singled home a run for a 2-0 lead in the third inning.
After Petagine's double made the score 4-0 in the fourth, the BayStars fought back to score three runs in the third. But Katsuyuki Dobashi homered for a run in the seventh inning to give the Swallows a win.
