Roberto Petagine hit his second two-run homer of the day in the eighth inning to give the Yakult Swallows a 15-11 win over the stubborn Hiroshima Carp, who came back from four-run and six-run deficits on Sunday.
Petagine connected for his 11th and 12th homers and drove in four runs for 30 RBIs this season to take the lead in the Central League in both batting categories, while spoiling a three-homer day for fellow Venezuelan Eddy Diaz.
In all, 10 homers were hit in the game with Yakult southpaw Tatsuki Yamamoto (2-1) getting the win after facing three batters in the seventh.
