The Hanshin Tigers extended their winning streak to three games for the first time this season after beating Chunichi 7-2 at Koshien Stadium on Friday night.
Atsushi Fujimoto hit a two-run single to shallow center with the bases loaded and one out in a five-run second inning. Ivan Cruz belted a two-run homer off Chunichi starter Masa Yamamoto (2-1) in the fifth inning with a runner on first and two outs.
Shinobu Fukuhara (2-1) gave up five hits and two runs over eight innings and lefty Shinichi Nishikawa took it the rest of the way with no outs.
