Yasuaki Taiho hit a pair of homers and accounted for all of Chunichi's scoring Wednesday as the Dragons kept pace with the Yomiuri Giants in the Central League with a 3-1 win over the Hiroshima Carp.
The Giants, meanwhile, snapped a four-game losing streak to the Yakult Swallows as Yoshinobu Takahashi hit a three-run homer and Daisuke Motoki connected for a two-run clout in a 7-6 win at the Tokyo Dome.
