Australia's Steven Conran provided some thunder from Down Under on Thursday with a sizzling 5-under 67 to share the lead with a quartet of golfers after the first round of the Tsuruya Open.
Conran carded five birdies in a flawless round to join compatriot Scott Laycock, Saburo Fujiki, Hideki Kase and Satoshi Oide atop a jammed leaderboard.
